General Information: | The seaport Tianjin is located at the Haihe-River and one hour away from Beijing. Its climate is dominated by a dry and cold winter and a hot and humid summer. Tianjin’s rapid development to a major center of trade found its beginning in the opening of the emperor’s canal during the Sui-Dynasty. Tianjin turned into a treaty port after the first Opiumwar and was then opend for trade with Western countries. Tianjin is well known for its seafood dishes and a particular kind of Baozi (Goubuli). |
