Sights: | Dunhuang is one of the most famous tourist attractions and located directly at the Silk Route. The grottos of Dunhuang with their beautiful mural paintings are of world fame. The Bingling-Temple, which is located 70 km south of Lanzhou, as well as the fortress Jiayuguan at the western end of the Great Wall. |
General Information: | 83% of Gansu’s population are Han-Chinese. The largest minority groups are the Hui and the Tibetans. |
